Two more candidates file for councillor in Carlyle

Two more candidates have filed their papers for town councillor in Carlyle for the upcoming civic election.

Gordon Paulley and Hugh Hislop have joined the race, bringing the total number of councillor candidates to three, as of Wednesday morning. Incumbent councillor Kelly Lutz had previously filed his papers.

Carlyle Town Council has six councillor seats.

Nobody has filed nomination papers for mayor as of Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.

The deadline to file nomination papers for the civic election in urban and rural municipalities is Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. 

The civic election will happen Nov. 9.
